2 Simple Ways To Breakthrough Demonic Barriers

Every believer at some stage in their walk with Christ, has struggled with or has been hindered from breaking into the heavens or in simpler terms, just having a good spiritual breakthrough.

Well, look no further because in this short article, I am going to share with you the secrets of getting the breakthrough you have been looking for.

1# You Must Descend Before You Ascend

Now, this is so simple and yet at the same time, so powerful. “You must descend before you ascend” wow! Let me say it another way, “you have to go down before you go up!”.

What do I mean? Well, before you knock at heaven’s door you must put your face in the floor, basically, you have to repent first or you have to humble yourself before God.  This is the very same thing that James, the half brother of Jesus said in James 1:10

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

If you’re having trouble breaking through into the heavens with prayer or your prayer life is weak, slow, full of heaviness and very lethargic, the first thing you have to do is repent or get humble before God.

Let me tell you! Sin is like weight or sin is like carrying a heavy burden around on your shoulders.

The weight of guilt, wickedness, evil thoughts, condemnation, lust, evil speaking or whatever you are struggling with at this time,  all of these different sins and mindsets will begin to weigh you down and stop you from floating into the heavens.

Let me give you an example, if you have sin in your life and you have not repented when you go to pray, the first thing that the devil will do is accuse you. The devil or even your own mind will begin to condemn you and say, “ how can you pray you’re full of sin, you’ve done so much evil”.

This is why you have to repent and humble yourself before God because if you don’t, you will not be able to ascend into the heavens. It’s very easy to get right before God because it says in the book of Hebrews 4:16

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

All you have to do is say, Lord, I repent from all of the evil that I have done and anything that is weighing me down or hindering me from getting into your presence. I pray that you would remove it from me right now, in the name of Jesus.

Then thank Him for His mercy and His grace.  Obviously, there are other prayers that you could pray, but I’m just keeping it basic so that you get a quick understanding of what to do.

2# Don’t be Lethargic, be Energetic!

Don’t be lethargic, be energetic! Let me say that again, “don’t be lethargic, be energetic”. Lethargic means to be affected by lethargy; sluggish and apathetic.

Sometimes, when we go into prayer, Scrap that…… More like Most Times when we go into prayer, we start to offer up to God some sort of tired half-baked prayers.

Let me give you an example, Just imagine having a very long day at work or school and you’ve only slept for 3hrs the night before.  When you got home, you started to pray, how would that prayer sound? Exactly, sleepy, lethargic and half-baked.

Now, this is how many believers go into prayer even though they had 9hr sleep and they’re on holiday. lol

If you go into prayer like that, I can 100% guarantee that within 5mins you are going to be sleeping.  With that type of attitude towards prayer, you are going to get nowhere.  That rhymed.

If you have a lazy posture when it comes to prayer, you’re going to stay in the earth realm, you’re not going to break into the heavens.   We cannot be lethargic in prayer, we have to be energetic.

What does energetic mean? Well, it means showing or involving great activity or vitality. When you pray with vitality and passion, you will break into the presence of God with ease.

When praying, we should stand up if possible and move around, we’re not dead, we are full of the Holy Spirit and Power.

I do understand that sometimes we feel led to be still when praying and that is 100% fine.  I’m just giving you an example of energetic prayer.

But if you are looking for a breakthrough, you have to pray with vitality and passion and I can testify and say that when I pray this way, I always hear from God and I always receive a refreshing from the Spirit of God.

I will leave you with this,

Pray with Passion To Get Power!!
