Limited Access

I was laying down thinking about our own finances. I pondered on the fact that it is separate to that which the Lord instructs us to set aside to use for His purpose. He then gently interrupted my thoughts…

If I have given you something, you must give me access to use it, even that which is set aside for your own use.

Then I realised something. He allows us access to His funds, so why wouldn’t we allow Him that same right? It is He who blessed us with it in the first place and it is He who is able to bless and multiply it. Whatever we allow Him access to, we are also giving Him permission to allow what we have to go much further than the natural dictates, and also to increase us, and/or what He gives us, not only in finance, but in favour with God and man, in health and Every area of life.

He will not just increase us, but He will do it in God style! We must understand that Everything we have is given from the Kingdom of Heaven. There is No limit up there, but we receive a limited amount because of our selfishness. Selfishness is fleshly and causes us to operating from a place of emulation and self preservation. It is My hands that got me this wealth, so it is my hands that will keep it.

Deuteronomy 8:17-19, And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. 18 But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. 19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.

This will be taken away from you, even that which you have, like the guy who buried his talent. It brings to life the Scripture which say, Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Matt 6:19-21). I want my treasure to be in the hand of Jesus!

God’s Kingdom is Vast and so is its provision and supply. They Never run dry, Never! Imagine having unlimited access to the Father’s supply of healing, favour, or His provision of All things?? Well, that is what we have once we become citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven, but, because of our own selfish desires (which comes/develops through the lack of understanding of who and whose we are), we limit our own access.

Another limit is through FEAR. Fear that what we have or have access to, will soon run out! Fear that we will get no more and so, start to ration ourselves, managing our expectations from Heaven’s limitless provision, according to the standards we have become accustomed to in the world.

We are measuring Heaven’s supply to that of the world’s. This is a BIG error! The two cannot be compared, as Heaven is run by the Creator who created Everything in the Earth for man’s comfort and enjoyment, and it is He who can and Will tear down the systems of this world. The world CANNOT and will Never be able to advance the Kingdom of heaven, neither can it supply it.

We cannot work for it, either. Access to Heaven’s supply and provision is a gift, a gift we receive only by faith in Jesus! We can’t work for a gift or it wouldn’t be a gift! Laziness, also limits our access. The book of Proverbs is packed with guidance against laziness, but for this purpose, I will use 2; {Proverbs 12:24}  The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.                                              {and Proverbs 13:4} The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.

So, in conclusion, not allowing God access to what He has given to us, is an access limiter. He can only bless what we give Him access to, and this access also tends to increase other areas of our lives.

Amen. I totally agree. We tend to forget that Gods resources are not valued as mere money. They are infinite and priceless. Give God 💯 access to everything you have and everything you are. I certainly don’t want to get to Heaven and hear that I’m limited now because of how I was on Earth 🤔. It’s fear that limits how we give and that’s sad because why should we fear our Father. Trust Him 💯 with everything and you will not regret it. I grew up with a saying “you can’t take it with you”, so why not invest it in the Kingdom of God? The returns are amazing!
