Recognising The Presence

My Presence causes you to worship me. My Presence causes you to want me, to want more of me. That is my presence. It gives you the desires you should have toward Me. That is why you have an urge and an urgency to worship, to seek me, to read my Word, to know my direction on what matters to me, what I require you to do, where I require you to go.”

The above is from this morning’s conversation with Holy Spirit. He took me back to a few recurring experiences I’ve been having with Him. It wasn’t what I was doing that brought His presence, but it was His presence that caused me to do and experience what I have been doing.

I had such joy in the Holy Ghost because I allowed Him to use me to convey His love, emotions and instructions to a chosen few on His radar. In the Presence of Holy Spirit is joy, not some joy, not just joy, but the FULNESS of joy! Psalm 37:11 says, Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Everything we need is in His Presence. The revelation, the understanding and the desire to worship, are the result of the Presence. They are fruits of the Presence of the

Holy Spirit. It is He who draws us to Him, to His Presence and in His Presence, ALL desire is directed towards Him and what He wants us to have, be, do or where to go.

In His Presence, it is ALL about Him. You realise that you want Him, that you want what He wants. You start desiring Spiritual gifts and to be used for His Kingdom and glory. You desire to not only know who you are in Him, but who He is in you and you also yearn to walk in the TRUTH of who you are and where you are from.

Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. {Psalm 37:4}  We cannot delight ourselves in the Lord outside of His Presence. We can only have delight in Him, in His Presence and Only there, will He give us the desires of our hearts, which are ALL directed towards Him, knowing Him, The Truth or the truth about ourselves. We cannot be made truly free without knowing The Truth; you will see this in John 8:31-32.

The Holy Spirit draws us to Him, to His Presence, but it is up to us how we choose to respond. We should choose to be drawn to Him because if we don’t, we would be rejecting the only source that can bring True transformation. John 6:44-45 says, 44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. 45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

You can see that it is His Presence which leads us to be transformed. If we operate outside of this, then we become self-righteous, and self-righteousness is riddled with inaccuracies. We are Not justified or changed by our own self-righteous actions, but ONLY by the righteousness of Christ. {Ephesians 2:8-9 and Romans 3:10, 20-23}

We need the indwelling Presence of Holy Spirit if we truly want to be transformed into whom He says we are, to be able to operate in the fulness of the measure of power, freedom, authority and victory given to us. Let’s go deeper into Him, into His Presence.

    I’ve been reading more of the Word & really desiring to surrender more & more of my heart, myself, my Insecurities & any hidden areas of darkness within my life.

    I just love what you’ve shared here. It’s so practical, easy to follow, grounding and pragmatic. It definitely is a pride killer!!

    It helps keeps self gratification or exultation in check and reminds us of our truest state of existence: COMPLETELY RELIANT & IN DESPERATE NEED OF GOD.

    without Him we can do nothing!!
