Shift your Perspective

The enemy is constantly and diligently working to keep our focus on the natural man. He wants us to keep our eyes on what is or isn’t happening around us, causing us to center our attention on the “not” of the thing/s we desire.

He knows that if we get the right perspective, God’s perspective, he’ll have NO power over our minds or imaginations!

I want you to look up for a moment. You are seated in heavenly places in Christ. Now, from that position, look down at the circumstances/problems which have caused your mind to be overwhelmed, where do you see yourself now? With a hedge round about you!

The enemy is not only tiny, but he is also on the outside of that hedge! He cannot touch you! Psalm 91 is packed with reassurances of our protection in Christ.

You don’t even need to engage him! Just soak in the Word, soak in worship, not simply because you want the enemy to leave you, but because you want Jesus and as you seek Him, the enemy will flee automatically because you have shifted position in your thoughts and/or imaginations. Isaiah 59:19(b) When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.

I pray that our minds will shift our perspective so we will see ourselves inside God’s hedge of protection and not outside of it.

This is true for sure! When the Bible says we’re seated in Christ, I can’t help but think of nesting dolls. It’s silly, but we all fit into Christ like that. 🙂 Think of how secure the smallest one is inside. The others are His protection! Here’s the thing. You never see a beat up set of nesting dolls! Just the first one is protection enough! 🙂 So is the protection of God.
This is a very good nugget. Thanks sister Cassie! God bless you!
